(2014) Christmas Icetastrophe - Hope, BC

A meteorite enters the Earth's atmosphere and splits in two pieces. One piece strikes the center of a small mountain town and immediately starts to freeze everything and everyone nearby. The second piece forms a tropical zone amongst the snow and ice. A University grad student and a local man struggle to join the two pieces of the meteorite back together to save their town and mankind.

(2012) L'Effet - Hope, BC

One morning, the earth falls into an energy breakdown. Everything stops: public electricity, batteries, combustion engines, radio waves,... Why, how, to what extend? Nobody knows. Alex, a young woman in her early thirties, living in Quebec City, decides to join her lover, away on business in Vancouver, and bring him back. Riding her bicycle, she meets every kind of people, each one having his own theory about what is happening, some amusing, some more dramatic. She will launch into an adventurous journey, facing humankind with its ugliness sometimes, but mostly with its beauty though.

(2009) The Uninvited - Vancouver, BC

Anna (Emily Browning) returns home after being institutionalized and tries to adapt to her new home situation. Anna leaves with her father, Steven (David Strathairn) and is reunited with her sister, Alex (Arielle Kebbel). The sisters are convinced their mother is sending a message; the fire was murder and Rachel (Elizabeth Banks) is to blame. The Uninvited is a 2009 American remake of the 2003 South Korean horror film A Tale of Two Sisters. "We were lucky to find in Canada a place that seemed as if it had been built for our movie", said Walter F. Parkes, one of the producers. Hollywood North is the place where real movies are made.

Wind Chill is a 2007 horror film starring Emily Blunt and Ashton Holmes. George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh are among the producers of the project. The movie was directed by Gregory Jacobs, who previously directed the well-received movie Criminal. The film began filming in the Vancouver area on February 1, 2006. The completed film opened in limited distribution on April 27, 2007. The film is also available on DVD.

(2006) John Tucker Must Die - Port Moody, BC

John Tucker Must Die (20th Century Fox) is not a horror movie... it's a teen romantic comedy that was another hit with teens/young adults. Most of the filming was done at the Heritage Woods Secondary School in Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada during the summer of 2005. The movie is the first major film to host its official homepage on MySpace owned by 20th Century Fox. The film is about a trio of girls (played by Ashanti, Sophia Bush and Arielle Kebbel) who plot to break the heart of manipulative basketball star John Tucker (Jesse Metcalfe) after they learn he has been secretly dating all three and pledging each is "the one". They recruit cute wallflower Kate (Brittany Snow) in their scheme to publicly humiliate the cad.

Suspicious River is a Canadian dramatic film, released in 2000. The film was directed by Lynne Stopkewich, based on a novel by Laura Kasischke. A young, married motel receptionist in a small town sells her body to motel guests, but not just for money.
